A well-established Bayside, Queens community based organization and private early childhood center and elementary school is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Office Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Provide administrative/secretarial support to the Executive Director and school leadership team by answering phones, email correspondence, coordinating meetings and tours, coordinating building use; creating and maintaining filing systems; distributing mail; issuing and tracking building keys; ordering supplies, and other related duties.
Oversee day-to-day building maintenance and manage maintenance staff and security guard(s).
Greet, welcome and assist all staff, students, parents, community members, callers and visitors to the school. Assist visitors, answer inquiries, provide information and direct to appropriate school areas.
Monitor building visitors, visitor procedures and general building activities for the school, summer camp, special events. Collaborate with school leadership on safety procedures for building evacuations and emergency situations.
Assist with bookkeeping and collections.
Provide back-up coverage to other positions, as necessary.
Qualifications:
Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills
Detail oriented
Team player
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
Knowledge in accounting/bookkeeping +
