Our client, a distribution company, is looking for an experienced and competent Procurement Manager to manage and engage with key suppliers and vendors to establish and maintain strategic supplier partnerships that will drive the company’s growth and success.
The ideal candidate is responsible for directing and overseeing the company’s internal purchasing system’s parameters and maintenance controls, including order forecasting.
Manage and control procurement functions and activities to ensure that the company’s acquisitions have systematic inventory planning and forecasting methodologies
Engage alongside operations managers and other internal teams and provide feedback on the procurement process, as well as develop and maintain key performance indicators for the team
Establish an effective procurement system and implement a long-term purchasing strategy to build strong supplier and business relationships
Negotiating contract and maintaining supplier agreements, vendors’ details, product appointment types, and deliverables
Overseeing purchase order placement, inventory flow, and replenishment needs to ensure accuracy, reliability, and workflow continuity
Onboarding new products and managing supplier, product, and replenishment needs, and sourcing new potential suppliers and vendors to drive better business results and create a better
3+ years experience as a Procurement Manager/Purchasing Director or in a similar position
Ability to lead a team, problem-solve, multi-task, pay attention to detail, and work independently
Familiarity with customary purchasing metrics, inventory control, basic accounting, and financial principles
Ability to document applicable internal processes and procedures and to develop and coordinate tasks
Proficiency in English for both verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, team interaction, and multi-tasking skills are required
Strong analytical analysis and numerical abilities to process financial reports and exceptional talent in negotiating and networking
Solid knowledge of supplier or third-party management software, Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated time management, organizational skills, detail-oriented and a strong commitment to personal and organizational accountability.
