Director of Coordination
1. Lead the Coordination Team in Upstate Region with all functions, policies, processes, and procedures.
2. Regularly evaluate the efficiency of coordination procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements.
3. Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction.
4. Create, suggest, and implement new programs and systems that will promote efficiency and streamlining of projects and programs.
5. Develop, implement, review, and update all policies and procedures in accordance with the rights of participants and caregivers and employees; and in compliance with acceptable standards of practice that is executed by the coordination department.
6. Lead the process, investigation, and solutions on claims, lawsuits, legal actions, and other legal issues relevant to coordination department with legal team or other external and internal parties.
7. Participate in the agency’s PI/CQI program.
8. Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation.
9. Evaluate overall employee performance during onboarding process and annually, by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics. Conduct periodic record reviews to assure compliance. Discipline employees, when necessary, where company policies are violated or not followed. Refer employees to Human Resources for disciplinary action including verbal warning, written warning and/or termination.
10. Complete training plans for new employees and follow up with scheduled evaluations for proper onboarding.
11. Ensure the appropriate staff to patient/staff ratios are in place to facilitate quality care.
12. Ensure that 24-hour coverage/service availability is maintained on an ongoing basis.
13. Encourage and support team building strategies, work with the team to develop systems that foster cooperation and coordination of efforts, models, and instills a sense of ownership of the team’s activities in all team interactions, identifying strengths of team members, encouraging sharing of knowledge and skills. Conduct periodic team meetings to support productivity, compliance, and teamwork.
14. Conduct research on developments in the industry, and strategize on structures for compliance with all standards, rules, regulations, and requirements
15. Participate in program development as per the organizations strategic plan, i.e., new programs, growth, new markets.
16. Demonstrate competency in each of the key areas related to the position, i.e., home health, customer service, establishment of contractual arrangements for services, coordination of program services, resource management, and leadership.
17. Develop and facilitate efficient working relationship and effective communication among and between other departments within the organization. Provide collaborative and administrative support to all programs in the absence or conjunction with other administrative team members.
18. Participate in company Level10 Meetings and be an active team player with other departments’ supervisors and directors.
19. Utilize effective problem-solving and decision-making approaches, identify root cause of problems and issues, formulate potential solutions, solicit appropriate input, and evaluate effectiveness of solutions.
20. Conduct planning and organization effectively. Plan work to ensure that all responsibilities of position are accomplished according to the organizations mission, goals, objectives, and standards.
21. Model positive, respective behaviors and communication with staff, peer, and supervisors.
