*Synagogue Office Administrator Position*
Synagogue in western Nassau County seeks an experienced office administrator to be responsible for the administrative and bookkeeping activities of the synagogue. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing accounting records and preparing monthly reports; managing accounts receivable and accounts payable; accounts payable disbursements; acting as administrative assistant to the synagogue’s rabbi and leadership team, including, arranging meetings, preparing meeting agendas and issuing meeting minutes; creating flyers and other promotional materials for synagogue events; assisting with social media; acting as the synagogue’s representative in matters relating to external stakeholders; and all other synagogue-related matters as directed by the synagogue’s president.
Minimum of two years similar experience desired. Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. QuickBooks or similar experience a plus.
Position is for four, 3-hour days per week, or 12 hours per week. Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Paid vacation, sick leave and holidays provided.
