Our client, a construction company, is looking for a Technician Coordinator to manage the construction inspection, manage inspection appointments, assign surveyors to visit the correct properties, and prepare reports of the findings to property owners.
The ideal candidate will provide administrative and construction-related work support, primarily coordinating annual inspections of small to moderately complex construction projects as defined by the company’s classification guidelines.
Schedule annual inspections and appointments with the engineering and construction teams to check compliance with City and State requirements
Organizes the activities of on-site technical service technicians, dispatching manpower to the job site, communicating with clients, and advising field service technicians on the requirements for compliance by the company
Coordinate and delegate tasks to the staff, schedule site visits, and coordinate with clients for project updates and plan adjustments as needed
Maintains inspection progress reports and ensures that a record of the findings from assigned inspectors or surveyors is provided to the property owner, as well as explaining the flow of all work at the site
Work closely with the field supervisors to troubleshoot and diagnose potential problems early to ensure schedules are met
3+ years of work-related experience as a Technician Coordinator or a similar role, preferably in the same industry
Knowledge of all phases of construction inspection, technician requirements, and project management for engineering or facility repair or modification is a plus
Knowledge of building or site specifications, inspection requirements, and special provisions, as well as fundamental engineering, mechanical, and structural principles is a plus
Knowledge of methods and techniques used in the construction and building construction company is a plus
Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work is a plus
Displays a high level of initiative, effort, attention to detail, and commitment by completing assignments efficiently with minimal supervision.
