Our client, a payroll company, is seeking a Payroll Tax Specialist.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing tax problems, recommending solutions, maintaining various controls necessary to meet all federal, state, and local tax regulations. They will also provide client support for tax maintenance that may include processing complex payroll corrections, amending tax returns, and working with tax agencies and clients.
Other responsibilities include:
Federal and State filings and amendments in an accurate and timely manner (bulk tax filing experience is a plus).
Ongoing and periodic audits and controls.
Assisting in preparing federal & state amendments.
Bank reconciliation functions.
Analyzing and handling tax notices.
Quarterly tax filings, funding, and payments.
ACA compliance maintenance.
ACA filing preparation and reporting.
Various compliance reviews and implementations.
Maintaining good customer relationships.
Being in charge of special projects and research.
Responding timely to requests, phone calls, emails, etc.
Researching and setting up state tax jurisdiction across multi-state sites.
Utilizing technology to improve efficiencies.
2 years of experience in payroll tax
Ability to consistently provide high-quality work.

Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
Prior CPA practice experience is preferred.
