Our client, an accounting firm, is seeking an experienced and well-versed Junior Accountant to provide support to the company’s accounting department by managing daily accounting tasks, filing tax returns, financial audits, and preparing financial statements and tax reports.
The ideal candidate must have proven accounting and tax experience to effectively process and manage general finances to ensure the overall efficiency of the company.
Accurately perform daily reconciliations of cash, check, and credit card transactions, file invoices, payroll records, etc. as assigned
Assist and comply with the filing of financial reports, tax audits, IRS filings, general ledgers, etc.
Prepare income tax returns and corporate reporting requirements, monthly financial statements that include cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets
Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
Ensure compliance with organizational guidelines and procedures, and federal and state regulations
Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly or yearly closings and resolve account payable and receivable issues or queries.
Assist in the processing and managing of financial information, balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
1+ years of working experience as a Junior Accountant or Accounting professional
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) certificate are a plus
Exceptional knowledge of accounting and financial reporting practices, well-versed in accounting principles, and excellent processing skills of financial accounts and general financial records
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical and numerical problem-solving skills, meticulous and strong attention to detail; and superb organizational skills
Demonstrated time management, organizational skills, detail-oriented and a strong commitment to personal and organizational accountability
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and Accounting software
Understand the importance and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information of the organization.
