Director of Purchasing

Large Nursing home Group are currently seeking a Director of Purchasing to join our team and manage our purchasing operations.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
Lead a team of purchasing professionals to manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and optimize purchasing processes.
Collaborate with department heads and other stakeholders to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
Evaluate vendor performance and conduct market research to identify new opportunities and potential cost savings.
Develop and maintain purchasing policies and procedures that comply with regulatory requirements.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field
2+ years of experience in purchasing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role in any setting.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful purchasing strategies.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in purchasing.
