Chief Financial Officer

Location: Carteret NJ
Salary: $200K

Our client, a distribution company, is looking for a proficient and dependable Chief Financial Officer to lead the company’s finance team and ensure financial policies and management throughout the organization.

The ideal candidate must have extensive work experience and knowledge of accounting procedures, such as do budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

-Oversee end-to-end accounting and financial operations such as cash management, cost accounting, sales audit, billing, bank loans, ledgers, bookkeeping and financial records
-Manage and control the company’s books of accounts, reports, expenditures, and bank reconciliations, ensuring that internal controls, systems, and expense management are in place
-Examine all financial reports and closely audit all financial data in the system for discrepancies, and develop systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
-Collaborate and supervise the finance team to ensure that all regulations are followed and that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
-Provide support, direction, and strategic advice on all budget management, cost-benefit analysis, forecasting needs, and funding acquisitions issues in order to make the most suitable business decisions

Qualifications:

-5+ years of work experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Officer, or similar role preferably in a real estate industry
-Expertise in financial management, accounting principles, and application of accounting fundamentals, and collection regulations to ensure efficient and effective finance operations
-Outstanding mathematical and analytical skills, strong knowledge of taxation and corporate legal/statutory requirements, and experience in external or internal auditing
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills, people management, and strong interpersonal skills to lead a team of the accountants in the finance department
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and accounting software
